On May 2-4, the annual meeting of the European Network of Higher Arts and Design Schools B-network took place at Vilnius Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts.

The event brought together 16 representatives from strategic partners of VAA: Royal Academy of the Arts the Hague in The Netherlands, University of Applied Arts Vienna in Austria, University of Art and Design Linz in Austria, Florence Academy of Arts in Italy, Bologna Academy of Fine Arts in Italy, PXL-MAD School of Arts in Belgium, Art Academy of Latvia, Estonian Academy of Arts, ESAD Matosinhos in Portugal, Seville Academy of Arts in Spain, Basque University Art Bilbao Fine Arts Faculty in Spain, Athens School of Fine Arts in Greece, Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Germany and Krakow Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. Most of the participants visited Vilnius for the first time.

The guests were welcomed and the Academy was presented by the Rector of VAA prof. Audrius Klimas, the team of international relations office - assoc. prof. Ieva Skauronė, Vygintas Orlovas and Dovilė Rudzenskė, the Vice-Rector for Art Julijonas Urbonas, the Director of Design Innovation Center Marius Urbanavičius and the dean of Vilnius Faculty assoc. prof. Česlovas Lukenskas. Various departments and study programmes were presented by teachers Deividas Juozulynas (Department of Design) and dr. Tomas Grunskis (Department of Architecture) and students Izabela Kovalevskaya (Department of Monumental Art), Monika Šiliūnaitė (Department of Graphics), Aurelija Slapšytė (Department of Graphic Design). The presentation session was supplemented by a tour of Vilnius Faculty and creative workshops in textile and ceramics laboratories led by prof. Eglė Ganda Bogdanienė and prof. Žydrė Ridulytė and assoc. prof. Rasa Justaitė-Gecevičienė.

Hopefully the cooperation with the partners involved will become even stronger and the exchange of students and teachers will be more intense thanks to this meeting.
