Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts students from Department of Interior Design and Department of Architecture together with students from OWL University of Applied Sciences Department of Interior Architecture are creating visualizations for the Square of philosopher Emmanuel Levinas in Kaunas.

On 30th September - 10th October Nida Art Colony hosts International "PUBLIC DESIGN" creative workshop dedicated to commemorating the memory of the famous pholosopher Emmanuel Levinas (1906-1995) who was born in Kaunas. The objective of the workshop is to design a public space in architectural principles, which gives meaning to the personality of the renowned philosopher. During the workshop small architectural, sound, light models will created for Emmanuel Levinas Square in Kaunas (near the A. Mickeviciaus and V.Putvinsko crossroad).

The project is dedicated to the development of public spaces in the city of Kaunas and also the thirtieth anniversary of cooperation between Vilnius Academy of Arts and Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. The first stage of the ongoing project is a creative workshop and an exhibition. The second phase of the project is expected in 2019 during which the objects will be constructed and built in the designated urban area.
