The aim of the postgraduate Design study programme is to prepare industrial design specialists with qualifications of Master‘s degree who meet international designer standards and are able to independently carry out scientific research, to critically-analytically interpret design processes in a wide local and international contexts, who are able to use innovative solutions, to develop professional creative work both individually and in an interdisciplinary team.

Study methods

Group discussions, based on insights and problem solving;
Theoretical and practical training in the workplace, supervised by the teacher, using various methods of study;
Scientific and artistic research, analysis of relevant material, supported by the insights and scientific-artistic research;
Creative interpretation and experiments using laboratory practice;
Design based on insights, problem solving and artistic-scientific research;
Technological training of project realization, using laboratory practice;
Practical exercises, public discussions and defense of work, based on the group work.

Professional work opportunities

Our graduates work as professional designers, as creative directors of industrial design companies, marketing departments or design offices, also work in the fields of education. Some graduates start their own design companies or work as freelance designers.
Those who acquire educational qualifications – work as Art teachers.
After receiving Master’s degree graduates are ready to pursue doctoral studies in Art or Design.
