Research Commission: Curonian Spit, a Moving Image

Over the past two months, historian and archivist Audrius Dambrauskas has been working on a research commission for NAC looking for traces of how Neringa and the Curonian Spit have been depicted in moving images throughout the 20th century.

During the recent hibernal lockdown, designer and artist Monika Janulevičiūtė has been attending and looking closer at the material cycle of textiles at NAC. Currently Monika Janulevičiūtė is installing textile collages as spatial dividers for the rooms with large windows at NAC. 
The flock of Skudde sheep arrive in Nida: Shepherds’ Residency at NAC begins

In cooperation with the Curonian Spit National Park and Verpėjos, the artist-run residency and project space in the Dzūkija, NAC has brought a flock of 30 Skudde sheep, owned by artist Laura Garbštiene (Verpėjos), from Dzūkija to Nida.
